Detail door of Kirkurd Church

We paid a visit to Kirkurd Churchyard today but the detail that really grabbed my attention was this picture of the door. The church was build in 1766 and is now no longer in use. Instead the inside seems to be used for some kind of storage. The leaded windows which are still there are protected by wire mesh and even from the outside it looks like they must be glorious. Such a shame that we were unable to get into the building itself, but instead had to be contented with visiting the gravestones.
