May Day . . .
Must have been a fair bit of rain during the night, and all the leaves had droplets on them.
As the sun came out and it warmed up, all the ploughed field started steaming. It was an amazing sight, was going to blip it, but Northern's shot really does it justice.
Sat in the garden and watched two peewits, lapwings, plovers, teeicks - call them what you will - soaring and diving at each other in an aerial combat display. Their broad wings flashed white and black as they swooped round each other, and the noise was incredible. As I sat there, I could also hear starlings, blackbirds, curlews, skylarks, the sea - you can always hear the sea from our house - and a hot panting dog!
A lovely day. . . .
