hornet

Today should be a blip of birthday cake and fun, but the birthday girl isnt feeling too well and has gone out to a party without having her cake. Well have that tomorrow when she can stomach it. No point eating birthday cake if you wont enjoy it.

So...this morning there were lots of little hornets flying around the honeysuckle. I couldnt manage to get a photo of them in flight...my little camera just wont focus. So instead here's one of a hornet having a snack.
