Glorious Failure

It's really not easy being a Scotland football fan.
Our history is beset by glorious failure.
The fact we haven't qualified for a major tournament since 1998 is irrelevant.
All of our past and current endeavours have ultimately ended in thus failure, but oh so gloriously.
We have been knocked out of 5 major championships on goal difference and throughout the years, suffered at the hands of minnows and beaten the World Champions.
Today, was no different.

Qualifying for me, is even more poignant.
This is my Scotland shirt circa 1998.
I refuse to buy another until our next qualification.
It's not over yet but as always, we've made it difficult.
I have no doubt in my mind however it'll end in glorious failure.
