From the River
We took our kayaks down a stretch of the Nehalem river, which was supposed to be an easy paddle. And it was, except for one little riffle, where the current took us next to a fallen tree. In the eddy, Robert and I both flipped out of our kayaks. I didn't feel in personal danger, but it took some problem solving to figure out how to get out of that spot. We were proud that we did, and continued down the river, with an adventure under our belts. Another hot gorgeous sunset. But I don't know how to make the big orange sun look orange, instead of white in a picture. Is there a trick someone can tell me? As I write the half moon is setting, turning yellow and then orange.
