Thistle Seed Heads

Although it has not rained today it has been overcast and ?muggy?. I am sticking to the plan of not working today, although I have answered one student email!

I took various photographs of birds, but decided that these thistle seed heads showed the approaching change of season. They are growing in one of our sections of garden, where we allow the area to go wild for use by birds, bees, butterflies and any other wildlife who care to visit.
