Goldfinch having Brunch

This juvenile goldfinch arrived as we were having our own brunch. Ours was mushrooms and tomatoes on toast with humous. His was the nyger seed from the feeder which is on our 'Harry Lauder Walking Stick' tree.

He's very fluffy and sweet and has a voracious appetite, as do his mates. The feeder empties very quickly.. These little birds are very special to me and I adore seeing them on the feeder. Last year we saw up to nine at a time, hanging around for a feed.

The photo is not ideal as it's taken through the window. Mr H has a tripod so my next blip challenge will be the open window and using the tripod shot..
