Ramsay Street

Secretly, the bit I've been waiting to see the most in Australia. The Neighbours Tour!

We toured the set, which is strangely smaller and a lot cheaper looking that you'd ever imagine a tv show to be. They try to do everything on as small a budget as possible, so the hospital, the school and the jail are all the same building. Was an odd feeling to be standing at the Lasseters Lake and outside Harolds Store.

The tour then continued to Pinoak Crescent, which is the real name for cauldesac they use for Ramsay Street. Real people live on this street and they all have to move their cars and close their blinds on days of filming. The insides of the houses aren't used and are all shot in a studio.

A very surreal day but highly entertaining day.
