Just checking

I went for a wander in town today - fortunately before it started raining - and happened upon some morris dancers. As you do.

This chap made me chuckle, sneaking a quick peek at the music between dances. Good for him, I say. Better do whatever it takes to be sure of yourself rather than making a mistake that might cause other people to stumble.

Not that playing a bum note or two would be the end of the world in this context, the worst that could happen isn't that bad. I'm just a little sad today, having heard a fair bit over the weekend about a couple of different situations where people's mistakes have caused huge pain to others and, I suspect, to themselves.

Not the way things are meant to be. So sad. But I'm still hopeful, both for those suffering in the situations I've been hearing about and for all of us.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
