The Old World

Visited Kusel today, the capitol of the "Alte Welt = Old World", as we Palatinians (Pfälzer) call the city and county in the very west of the Palatinate.
(I doubt the Kuseler like that.)

It's Kuseler Herbstmesse weekend, the Autumn Fair everybody (from Kusel) has to go. And many other like to go. Me, too!

I like to take the train into the Old World and enjoy the landscape.
At the fair I bought spices and cough drops and had ice cream and Chinese food (in that order).

Walked back to the train station on the "Fritz-Wunderlich-Radweg" (a cycle path) and took this shot looking down to the little city through the bars of this old wrought-iron gate.
