Sun Set at 12,000 feet

This is the sun set from Trail Ridge Road which is very close to Estes Park in Colorado. I'm staying in Boulder this week and taking full advantage of being so close to some amazing places to visit.

One odd thing as I waited for the sunset, I was about 20 mins early, while I was on my own I could hear the wind in the trees, the sound of a near by river and the local wild life. Then people would stop where I was get out of their cars, talk very loudly for 5 mins while they were here and take lots of picture! They never really got involved with the natural surroundings!

If you ever go to the rockies, take a few minutes in slience it will be worth it.
