Jerry Boweh

... is originally from Liberia, but now he fronts the Glasgow Gospel Choir, which he established in 1999.

Jerry and the rest of the choir were on the main stage this afternoon at the Edinburgh Mela. They were really good and Jerry's enthusiasm for his music really shone through.

Now, the Mela is not something that I would normally have made the trip through for but yet again Blip has opened my eyes and thanks to them I had a great day out.

So much so that I now have almost 500 photos to sort through. I'll get them done as soon as and get them posted up to flickr*.

But in the meantime here's one that stood out straight away - the charismatic Jerry Boweh.
