Hôtel Guimard, Avenue Mozart

We walked past this building today, an hôtel particulier that Hector Guimard designed for himself and his wife. We were on our way back from the Musée Marmottan Monet where we saw some beautiful Morisots, Renoirs and many, many late Monet paintings.

There were tons of kids out playing in the Jardin du Ranelagh as we left the gallery, all of them on scooters, bikes or roller blades. I guess everyone is making the most of the last day before la rentrée! There are lots of jitters in this apartment tonight in anticipation of starting at two news schools tomorrow - not least my own.
