Too Much

It's been a home day today. We've not left the house. Mainly because Katie refused to wear clothes today. She wanted to do the things I suggested but when I explained she had to wear clothes to do the things, like feeding the ducks. She said "no thankyou ducks, no trousers"

We had a rather early start to the day, so we were lazy at the start of the day. She wandered to the kitchen, removed her pyjamas, got one of her chocolate puddings and smeared it totally over herself. Then came to me, prodded me, presented me with the top of her toy kitchen and said "oh noooo". Oh no indeed. But most concerning was that she'd also filled her nappy when she went into the kitchen- I wasnt sure which I was looking at. But she enjoyed the long play time in the bath that followed.

She helped me sort out the bits in the next size that we have and put away her summer things, getting a list of what we need still, trying on winter coats and things. She wasnt amused when the big snuggly one was still too big

I've made 3 cakes - the first one was a bit unsuccessful (stupid tempremental fan assisted oven) the second, more unsuccessful, but the third seems good! These are the end of our Hermann, as it turns out our village is too small for something like friendship cake - I only had one person to give any to, so am giving away the cooked cake instead.

After her lunch, she asked for an ice cream, so she sat nicely on her cushions with her nobbly bobbly. And promptly fell asleep. I took the lolly away. When she woke, she wanted it back of course. She was very bouncy after her sleep & snack and was asking for lots of more more tickling. Cousin1 has come to take away a finished Hermann and for a play, so Katie's doing full performance and is very excited!
