I AM YOU ARE

Spent the day with one of my greatest teachers.

Alex and I met at Cafe Gratitude, a cozy eatery in SF's Mission District featuring yummy hippie vegan food. Each dish is named with "I AM" followed by an empowering adjective. We had:
I AM ENERGIZED.
I AM EXTRAORDINARY.
I AM GREAT.
I AM BLISS.

Naturally there was the ever-present cup of "I AM COURAGEOUS" (coffee) next to me throughout.

Afterward we wandered up & down Valencia Street, browsing and taking volumes of photos. It was a perfect day; I wish I'd had an entire week of them with him.

Later in the evening we went to Alex's friends' place to watch a movie. We met a new friend there that Alex and I remembered from among the patrons of Cafe Gratitude earlier in our day. This really is a small big city. I AM AMAZED.

Even later I had to say goodbye, as Alex was flying back to Connecticut the next morning. If I had my eyes I would have stayed.
