The Joists

I am hanging out of the Shower Room window in order to share this with you all. Camera strap firmly round my wrist. So good to see rapid progress now.

The floor joists were laid today. The joiner has turned part of the back garden into his workshop. The brick layers also started to place the steps on the left. The steel column is to support the roof.

The boys are away at a university conference in Wales this week. The first time #1 has driven a distance, so I admit to being rather anxious all day. Thankfully he's arrived safely. #2 travelled in a group by train and bus. He did mention that the Royals don't travel together, just in case. Very re-assuring.
