Tired, tyred
This turned into a bit of a rotten day, capped by a flat on the way home. Yeah, the tyre looked a bit flat when we set out for home. Stopped at a garage to fill it but could hear air hissing out as it was going in. Drove home ultra slow but smelt burning rubber on the way and stopped to put the spare on. Cue rain, falling darkness, and a jack that refused to cooperate for quite some time. My suggestions to ring the AA weren't appreciated (but why do we pay our expensive membership if not?). More rain, much swearing. However, my hero conquered the jack and fitted the spare. This is what we found when we got the wheel off - it's on the inside so we couldn't see until the wheel was off. The 'hole' goes the whole way round ....
Amazingly (well, I think so) this is the second time this exact fault has happened to us in six years.
