Roadside Fall Shopping
Spent the rainy afternoon with Mom roadside shopping through a section of the Lancaster county countryside-the off the beaten path kind of treasures we love. First, we visited an Amish lady who makes homemade soaps & candles & got some delicious fall-scents for the new season (which unofficially starts today). Then, we discovered a dairy farm we never paid much attention to before, though we've passed it many times. They make homemade ice cream & serve it in their freshly-made waffle cones. So delicious & more creamy than anything store bought. Then, we stopped at a few farm stands for red-skinned potatoes (for the pot roast hubby is making for dinner), Bartlett pears, & Mums. Finally, we found this delightful pumpkin pitstop for the most unique collection of pumpkins & gourds. Maybe tomorrow's Blip!
