Funny Honey and Me

Honey is the sweet old lady that "protects" our family. She spends the majority of her day following either one of my parents around--even into the bathroom (she'll cry if the door is closed on her). We have no idea how old she is as she was found on the street, but she's definitely a senior citizen.

I get the unholy job of bathing/grooming her,wiping her mouth with disinfectant wipes, cleaning out her ears, trimming her nails, applying eye drops, brushing her teeth, soaking her mouth with a warm towel to remove excess saliv---you know what....that's good enough.

She's the only dog allowed out whenever a repairman comes to the house. She's just so incredibly friendly regardless of how awful cetrain people behave towards her (my sister, cousin, etc) and all she asks in return is some form of love or respect. Sure, her bum smells 100 times better than her face, but she can't help it! And lord knows I try to make her less offensive with all of the treatments I have to give her regularly--but she can't help it. She's a sweet little lady that never asked to be the way she is.

And that's why we love our Honey.
