Book Club

As we seem to be a bit bookish these days (it must be the weather), I thought I would blip my father's book.
A Church of Scotland minister for 50 years, he was asked to deliver the Chalmers Lectures in 1982 and these were subsequently published as above.
Despite the weighty-sounding title, the book is quite readable and might be well used as a warning to our current crop of teachers as to how things used to be - so thank your lucky stars!
Bit of a dreary day weather-wise. A bit breezy with some sharp showers.; quite a change from yesterday. What my old uncle Jim from the USA would have called "Baked bean weather"!
Time to start looking out the heavy-weight curtains and the winter duvet.
