Dark morning
Early cycle run
Puddled roads
Heavy traffic too soon

Blackford Pond,
Darkly brooding
Warm south wind
Ripples the water

Early jogger
Happy tailed dog

Garden hydrangeas
Hues of pink and lilac

Birthday cards bought for three September birthdays

Lunch in the sun with Classical FM

Wind rising
Leaves falling
Grass blown horizontal
Wind soughing in the trees
Branches bent hither and thither

Clouds gather
A sudden squall ripping over the Meadows
Umbrellas unfurled
People scurrying, bent into the wind

Me, computer bound
Inspiration lacking.
Words waltzing randomly
Intertwined with the music
In my head,
But not translating on to the page.
