Falling Leafs

I couldn't help but snap a photo of these leafs that were lined up like this in my backyard grass. I thought it was funny there was just one of each in this row. More signs of fall.....

The weather was quite odd today. It was hot but the wind was blowing and because of the wind it was bringing in the smoke from forest fires quite a ways away. You could literally see the smoke in front of your eyes, it was everywhere and the smell was strong. We live in Oregon but it reminded me a lot of California type weather, with Santa Ana winds. Eventually we had to close all the windows and turn the AC on because of the heat but mostly because of the strong smoke.
