Furnace Lass

Survivor

Just back from an 8 day holiday in Edinburgh to find this flower had survived really well while we were away. The best of a bunch left in the vase in the dining room, the flowers in the living room had more or less died away, but this little beauty still looks fresh.

Not sure I could say the same about myself. We had a wonderful time catching the tail end of the fringe and some of the festival events. Off course there was a lot of walking about, out all day from early morning till late at night. While we really enjoyed the city the most memorable and enjoyable museum was the Museum of flht between Haddington and East Linton at the East Fortune airfield. If you are ever out that way I would definitely recommend a visit. The first hanger has the original Concorde which we were able to board. I was really pleased to be able to photograph the whole plane despite being fairly close in the hanger. So many different experiences in the various hangers and so much wide open space. Children of all ages would have a great time there veiwing aircraft pre war to passenger planes als o had great fun in the interactive part of the museum.
better stop as I think I am beginning to sound like anadvert for the place.

Back home after a week of dry weather to pouring rain and heading out of Argyll tonight to Hampden Park for the Scotland v Lithuania game .

Will be back blipping once I've sorted through hundreds of RAW images from Edinburgh.
