Blackberries

The season of blackberrying is upon us. They are quite juicy this year in this area so I shall definitely be picking! Never eat Blackberries after Michaelmas (29 Sept) as the Devil then spits on them!

After a stormy night and morning the afternoon weather calmed down and it stopped raining. I made a shepherd's pie this morning from the leftovers of the Sunday roast and then went off to the AGM of our local WEA. N relaxed and T caught up on a few jobs he has been too busy to do during the last few days. Our neighbour came over to cook their supper in our AGA - their oven is not working - and M their five-year old daughter handed us a home-made ginger cake which was very kind!
