My Ball
Elizabeth's new thing is being scared of everything!
Wind up toys and generally toys moving on their own
Ladybirds (but not spiders)
The wind (great today when it was howling!)
Cars (don't mind that one)
Falling off the bed while getting a nappy change
Hand dryers
The tumble dryer.
And yet she's fearless when it comes to climbing and playing etc. The children's centre had some plastic fish in a water play area. She was scared of them, yet she put her hand out to touch the real spider that was climbing along the edge.
I hope it's a phase because some of these fears are rather annoying. I had to carry her a lot when we were outside today because of the wind.
Anyway, her language is still developing greatly everyday. Today she was taking ownership of things that weren't hers. "B-beth's chair" for example... when someone took her chair after she had vacated it.
She's saying please and thank you a lot too, without being prompted. When you reply with "you're welcome", she copies the word "welcome" but says it almost with a German accent. It's very cute.
She is starting to be able to recap some of the things she has done recently too, like when I ask her who she has seen or what she played with.
Her drawing has progressed from up and down lines to circular shapes.
She can count "1, 2, 3" and then "4, 5, 6, 8, 10". Not perfect, but getting there. :)
The high chair has been stored away in the garage and she's now having her meals on the booster chair. She seems a lot happier and more willing to stay put for longer.
