A day on Hadrian's Wall

This replica Roman legionnary's helmet and breastplate were on sale in the English Heritage shop at the Birdoswald Roman fort on Hadrian's Wall, where we spent 4 hours exploring the fort, the remains of the wall and some fascinating remnants of Roman bridge structures on the River Irthing.
