Sand lizard

The sand lizard is one of the specialist species of the Dorset and Hampshire heaths. This sand sculpture was on the beach at Studland, next to one of the hot-spots for them.

The National Trust have started policing their car park and so this beach. normally quite crowded, was almost deserted on Sunday.
