Labor Day Fun

Since there were no classes today, I decided to go into Boson to visit the MFA with H. Admission is free and nether of us had gone yet. We ended up going with my Wellesley little sister and her roommate, so it was kind of like a roommate double date :)

The museum was amazing! I was impressed by the range of art they had. We saw exhibits dedicated to jewelry, ancient art, musical instruments, and impressionism. We also were able to visit their new American Art exhibit. Fun facts that I learned: Paul Revere was an accomplished silversmith and Alexander Graham Bell was a pretty good painter! Pictured above is Van Gogh's Ravine, one of my favorites of the day. There's actually a painting hidden beneath this one because he didn't have any blank canvases and just needed to paint this scene, so he sacrificed one of his finished paintings.

We got hungry, so we went to the Prudential Center and had lunch at Wagamama. It was super nice out, so afterwards we walked around the gorgeous fountain/pool they have outside. Great, relaxing way to spend Labor Day!
