A shared giggle

They've had a really good holiday together. We all have. But all good things must change into other good things. Both excited about going back to school and seeing all their friends today. Typically, J in a quiet, understated way and A bounding around the house like Tigger. Was nice for me to catch up with lots of lovely folks too. Will take a few days to feel fully back into the routine but it was a fairly smooth introduction this morning.

House has been quiet though so I have filled it with hours of Listen Again from R4 whilst trawling through my inbox and other administrative-style tasks. One real work call which required me to use my brain was a bit hard but hopefully it will be like J and his times tables and will soon loosen up and get working properly again.

Am looking forward to picking them up and seeing how they're first days have gone. Which seems optimistic to say the least about their forthcomingness. Perhaps it will take them a few days to remember that the correct way to get collected from school is with a demand for food and a general non-commital, non-informative, grunt.
