Autumn

Doesnt it feel like autumn! Katie found this coat in the pile of "things to grow into" but claimed it, saying "katie pretty coat NOW". So the sleeves are rolled up about 6inches and it meets her boots when she's stood straight, but I suspect she'll be living in it.

She was at nursery this morning, for a longer time than previously. She didnt take very kindly to this. Definitely not her most successful visit. She was used to me picking her up before her lunch, so when they tried to give her lunch and then get her to play more, she was not at all impressed. She tried really hard to enjoy it - when she could be distracted, she had a few minutes of happy times, but they didnt last very long. And she still wont talk or play outside with the others. But she'll get there, its early days.

She was bushed when I put her in the car and soon fell asleep. We pottered and did some jobs. She woke up just in time to pick our friend up from the station, which she was quite pleased about! We went to do a couple of shopping bits (got some FAB tights that will definitely get blipped very soon!) and then realised it was time for her skating class, so ended up going to the ice rink.

She loved running round on the ice as there was only one other toddler. She spent ages batting the balls round with the hockey stick and pushing "Katie's car" round, at quite some speed. She was on the ice for 4o minutes, having a lot of fun so I suggested she put her skates on. She did not want to put her skates on, but then when I took them off, she also did not want to take them off!

We went to the village green when we came home and fed the ducks our last remaining breadroll. The ducks fought over it fiercely. Katie then wanted to "find big one splash" so she went to do some more puddle jumping.
