Cormorant

I only took the camera out briefly when I was standing at the bus stop on the Shore, in between torrential downpours of rain. The cormorant was hanging his wings out to dry in mid-stream, but I couldn't risk getting closer since my bus was already in view. You can see his beautiful plumage properly here.

I recall that the hanging chains must form catenary curves with equations of the form
y = a cosh (x/a). What a very sad case I am to be sure.
