High flyer but not a winner

Early start this morning (and another one for tomorrow) as I travelled down to Birmingham for what was a 35 minute meeting. To prove every cloud has a silver lining, as we approached Edinburgh I was offered this site of the clouds (without silver linings) over the Pentland Hills and luckily had my point and click to capture a gorgeous scene like this.

Not that this would any prizes, after all, it is reasonably well exposed, OK composition, unlike a certain arts organisation responsible for the biggest arts festival in the world that ran a competition and chose the winner to be none of the above. I suppose taste is everything in art, but please, at least identify the basics, especially as an alleged 'arts organisation'....
