Today's blip is an unlikely connection of thought and eye chanced upon during bout of insomnia. Expect rambling!

PJ Harvey won this tear's Mercury Music Prize for an album inspired by our country's military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's a powerfully crafted work. I have loved it since first listen earlier this year.

It's certainly an album deserving of plaudits. And sales. Although I guess the latter will lag behind both Lady Gaga and PJ's prize winning compadre, Dizzy Rascal.
