Floating Homes

Very busy day today. Didn't manage to take any photos (!) till I was home at 5PM and went up to the roof deck of our condo. This is our view to the north -of the fancy floating homes on Lake Union in Seattle. ( There are about 500 floating homes in Seattle semi permanently moored to a dock and connected to the city utilities.) I waited to post until after the sun set, which can be stunning from our deck, but it was pretty ho hum tonight so decided to go with this colorful summer scene. It was curious to me that I couldn't spot one single person on all these roof decks at 5:15PM with a cold beer or a G and T. (Too hot?) Heading to Mt. Rainier tomorrow which will be a real contrast!
