First rainy day...preface of a cold Colorado winte

Ahmdlallah! The rain did not rain on my parade today!

My physics professor, first of all, is an absolute character! What a terrifically passionate, quirky, and joyous human being. I love attending his lectures, they are enjoyable and intellectually stimulating.

I was able to spend time with my dear friend Lydia after classes. We decided on making a video for our Iraqi friends just to say hello and tangibly say we miss them dearly. It ended up being hilarious and borderline embaressing- the best kind of videos.

Anyway, I finally got a response back from the American University Sulaimani, Iraq regarding my inquiry in studying abroad there. I was informed that they accept American students for foriegn exchange. Now begins the admissions process. Applying to a university in Iraq is nothing like applying to a university in the States-everything is based on foreign testing standards and no information is explicitly laid out for international inquiry. Thus, I am completely in the dark and e-mail responses back and forth regarding admissinos information is like snail mail. But I will keep on keepin' on, it is one of my dreams after all...

Finally, I received terrific news regarding my desire to write an article for the university newspaper on Iraq. Lydia, who writes a weekly column, convinced her boss to give me an 800 word column! I am already half way done and it is due in a week, haha!
