Adventures in A&E

Took Mrs B into A&E this afternoon. After a long wait, a quick assessment Mrs B had all the symptoms of Meningitis apart from the rash!

The doctor also decided to do a pregnancy test just in case - I had no idea the early stages of pregnancy would result in Meningitis like symptoms. But hey, I'm not the doctor. However, before said doctor had time to do test we were whisked off to the x-ray dept for an x-ray. I know what you're thinking - you shouldn't have an x-ray if you're pregnant. Thankfully Mrs B and I were pretty sure we were safe!

Some fluid, some pain relief and we were off again. This time up to an observation ward where we had a quick chat with the nurse and some questions about the antibiotics Jane had been given - Jane wasn't given any!

Ah, communication in the NHS - GREAT!
