St. Martins

On our way to dinner Ms. J and I saw this sign over the door to the Catholic church. "Welcome All Sinners". It is cheesy, but I also determined that if I lived in the vicinity, I'd have checked it out.
As a Catholic, I think there are some things we do that we don't bother and explain, and hence alienate the very people we think we are trying to include. We are human, so that is bound to happen, but it makes me sad when people assume we are more caught up in hierarchy and tradition than people and love. SO, the sign made me laugh because of it's cheesy-ness, but also made me smile because the words on the sign are TRUE. Otherwise, none of us would be there.
