Birthday Cake

Today was my boyfriend's birthday, the big 3 0. At his request I baked him a black forest gateaux rather than a traditional cake. It took me 3 hours for some reason. I made the cake, then stoned all the cherrys and finally whipped the cream and made chocolate shavings.

I also made a steak and Guinness pie and real chips (for the first time ever). So I didn't really see much of my boyfriend on his birthday, but at least he had a yummy meal to end the day.
