~Hohokam Petroglyphs~
~Baby Jesus Ridge,
Santa Catalina Mountains,
East Of Catalina, Arizona~
Myself, John and Andy hiked up to see the petroglyphs today.
The day started out with about an hour jeep ride.
Followed by a hour and a half hike up to the site.
And when I say up, I mean up!!!
But well worth the climb,
the scenery was fantastic.
These 'glyphs were made between
600 and 1400 years ago.
This particular rock art is known as 'The Library'.
There were many 'glyphs on the surrounding rocks,
but this one has the most inscriptions,
hence the nickname of 'The Library'
With the great scenery and the ancient history,
I could have posted 20+ photographs today.
Thanks for visiting,
and see you tomorrow!
