Evening hour and a half ride. Behind on the training schedule.

Evenings are a bit more eventful than morning rides, it seems. Nearly got my eye plucked out by flying bugs (twice--thank God for eyelids), chased by a pack of dogs who nearly ran me off the road, then was completely startled by the sound (over Ray LaMontagne's voice through my headphones) of a couple of rifle shots. Apparently three guys were hunched down in the fields shooting birds or something.

I wouldn't have entirely been surprised if the grazing herd of goats I passed broke out of the fence and came after me, sheesh!

Overall, a successful ride, plus this great blip...
