persistence
All it takes is a little planning. Usually the snow follows a break in the wintry weather meaning that it hits the ground and melts within a few seconds. When it bothers to plan ahead a little it waits for a nice cold week or two to get the ground nicely frozen so that a little bit of snow sticks and doesn't melt. Now it just needs to repeat steadily for a week and there might be the chance of some snowboarding this year.
I quite like evenings at the moment. Obviously they're nowhere near as good as mornings but they have their moments. Their major problem is that they are populated by the drunk and shouty who prevent the getting of the desired shot with their unwarranted front-of-camera caperings. The evening lasts much longer than the typical morning and can even sometimes be almost as peaceful when there's a little snow to dampen sound and air.
I've only been back at work a day and already there are only two days to go. Hopefully I won't catch any filthy diseases off the two people opposite me who both have colds and fevers. Woe betide any micro-organism that attempts to bollocks up my weekend.
Happyhappyhappy. Quite rare but very nice.
Here's to a precipitative few days...
