"Do you want your lunch? There's a nice ham sandwich for you."

"Are you thirsty? Do you want some juice?"

"No."

"How about watching Thomas upstairs?"

"No."

At this point, you know there's no point continuing the conversation: if Thomas the Tank Engine can't fix it, nothing can. And to think, five minutes earlier, he'd been peace itself.
