Honey Bee on Sedum
I'm just back from helping to set up the Photography tent at the Penistone Show. The competition is run by the Camera Club and people from the club also act as official photographers, so get to go places that are not accessible to the majority.
The light was brilliant as the sun set and I managed a quick walk onto the car-park field just as the sun was setting over the moors.
An allotment day today, I needed to reconstruct the Brassica tent (aimed at KEEPING OUT the butterflies) as it had got badly blown about in the very strong winds. It now has some additional wooden stakes at its corners so hopefully it will withstand the wind a little better.
A huge carrier bag of beans harvested, five courgettes, a bag of potatoes (which unfortunately now it's rained are getting slug damage) and a huge bag of onions (brought back home to complete their ripening). I was exhausted by the time I got home and very, very hungry!
It feels good to be back home now.
