Remembering Emily

This week is the anniversary of a little girl who never breathed but was very loved. My friend was pregnant at the same time as a group of friends who all took their babies home. Nickey didn't. She doesn't dwell on it and was amazing how she dealt with having Emily at 39 weeks, knowing she had died. But once a year we all remember Emily.

I think this statue is beautiful and have wanted to photograph it for months so here it is. Not perfect as taken with my other lens. But it feels the right way to remember a little girl who would have been 12 this week.
