A ship out of water
So continuing on with the theme of looking more closely at things you see every day, we have todays shot, which was taken at the Clyde Port Authority building (just off of Broomielaw).
I go past this building most days on the way to work from the gym, and it was a wee while ago that I noticed the stone ships that sit either side of one of the doors. As they are so far up, it is hard to get a good look at them, but the zoom helps. They are suffering a little from neglect but they are still special.
Unfortunately today brought another grey autumnal sky so there is not a lot of contrast here, which is disappointing. If we get another nice day I may stop off to see if I can get a better shot
Across Glasgow there are a lot of buildings that have some truly splendid stonework. You have to look in some odd places, mostly up at roof level, but you will be surprised at what you see.
