Why walk when you can climb?
Walking home from school this afternoon with Ellis and his friend Billy after a morning of working through some documents and research for a client, it occurred to me that they cannot just 'walk'. If there is a fence in the way, or a gate to open, they will climb it rather than take the easy route. If they see a tree stump in the woods, they will jump it rather than walk around. Obstacles are fun and interesting whilst taking the easy path is boring and predictable. Lesson for life maybe?
