the big one?

Well, today I survived my first earthquake.

It wasn't too bad. A 6.7 quake hit off Vancouver Island at 12.41pm. The shockwaves were felt in Vancouver and our offices (15th-18th floors) swayed for around 30 seconds. No damage and no injuries.

Only I missed it altogether. At lunchtime I was out trying to find some subjects for today's blip. The tremors weren't felt by anyone on the ground. Hopefully the quake relieves some tectonic pressure!
