My toilet has too much!

When I did some renovations a few years ago I had an old copper toilet cistern put in. Looks lovely - a bit of a talking point. Unfortunately, the internal workings of it are beginning to play up.

After flushing, the ballcock gets stuck so the water keeps filling - it overflows into the toilet bowl (which is a relief - pardon the pun! - wouldn't want it all over the floor!) but it does mean that an awful lot of water gets wasted.

Add to this wee problem (there's that pun habit again!) I noticed today that my garden hose timer is broken. I think the residual water in it must have frozen one night causing it to burst it's seam. Damn - another thing that needs replacing.

Good job I have some work next week! Might even be up early enough to catch one of those sunrises everyone seems to catch so beautifully!
