Hop To It!
The wee yins have some jobs to do each morning, including pulling the blinds in the front room. The lack of wildlife in this part of Singapore might explain their excitement in finding this fella, but any reason for waking Dad is always worth a few laughs.
I'm no entomologist and would still call these boys locusts, but I have a memory of unknown provenance (Australian I think) that tells me these single ones are "short-horned grasshoppers". The reason he's single might have something to do with yesterday's mosquito fogging round the flat right enough. Anyway... there's the blip.
Memories of the day are the disappointing, but eventually adequate, performances of Scotland, France and England, and Gail lying crook on the couch.
The kids and I eventually got fed up of the rugby and decided to explore the rooftop garden of Orchard Central, where we had an excellent meal and excellent views. Unfortunately, I relied on the kid's photographic skills to capture the surroundings, so we're stuck with hoppy for today; reckon we'll go back though.
