Choc lolly

22months 20days

A busy but chilled Saturday today. Before we left home this morning, Mummy had a bit of an exciting time - Katie's a flowergirl in June and we were going through the possibles for her dress and the bride picked this morning! It's beautiful. Also, its the one I would have picked from the shortlist.

We went out for a potter, and to show our friend to the wonderful cheesecake shop. It didnt disappoint! We have a couple to sharesies so we can try more new flavours. We also went to see our friend in her shop, at Katie's request. Katie settled herself to have a good play (it's a baby shop). She's great with places like that. Maybe as she's used to leaving things behind at toddlers, but she does kick up when I ask her to say bye bye to something she's been loving playing with.

She fell asleep on the way to swimming - part of the plan - and woke up very excited. It wasnt her normal swimming teacher and Katie wasnt too keen on her lesson, she did it as a baby class rather than a toddler class, but she still had a brilliant time. Mainly because she wandered around doing her own thing, including lots of hurling herself under the water to swim along. I think the teacher had been prewarned about her as she said "my word, she really IS a proper water baby", as Katie was splashing, kicking, swimming and giggling like mad.

After swimming, we went to see the cows on the comonland, at Katie's request. She was getting fairly close, but safely away. Then one of them moo-ed rather loudly. She gave him such a glare and left very quickly. We went for an ice cream from the van (parked next to the cows). She asked for a choc lolly, so we all got choc lollies. She ate quite a bit of it but then stopped, looked at it and handed me it. "No, ice cream" she said, fairly determinedly. I did give in, and the lady did her a very dinky toddler cornet. Katie was suitably delighted.

We had a bit of a walk round, it was windy but lovely sunshine, before we headed for a cup of tea. Katie discovered she could crawl from our row of tables, under to the next (empty) ones, come out and play boo with the grannies on the table across from us. She thought it hilarious

I've blipped her before under this tree. We like it. It's the biggest, most sheltered and nearest to the icecream van. This will likely be the last cow visit of the year as they wont be that long until they go on holiday for the winter. So I thought we'd blip "our" tree one more time! .
